Behind the Screen - The Nudge "DARK ARTS"

What a blast.  The Nudge sure know how to bring pace + vibe to a music video set.

We have been lucky enough to be able to test-drive the impressive new green screen at Massey University (WGTN) and we will be heading off to Great Barrier Island to film The Nudge in some scuba-åction glory later in the month.

This video has introduced a lot of new material, new experiences + new gear into the Peach fold - we've been filming with a legitimate + massive green screen for the first time, working with The Nudge on our first conceptual music video collaboration, and shooting with some ridiculously good new gear.  We've brought the Nikon D750, the Sigma Fisheye + Sigma Art Series 35mm 1.4 into the mix!  We're pretty excited about the visuals + abstract videography we'll be playing with.

Massive thanks to Massey, NZOnAir + these fantastic lads.

Tora Tora Tora 2016

Just for good measure, let's have a look at Tora Tora Tora 2016 by daylight.
This snippet is only a tasty treat while we wait on official audio, but enjoy the sweet live sound of FLITE & those Tora beach vibes...

TORA TORA TORA 2016

We're looking through the Tora!Tora!Tora! '16 footage - what a blast.  We'll release a full length hightlights video once we get the official audio, but here's a little sumthin' sumthin' to whet your Tora nostalgia. Feat. audio from the incredible Imon Starr.

Great Barrier Island

WE'RE here on GBI on a Renegade Peach Project retreat.  We have been enjoying the Autumn sun and waves and have been busy editing and filming for our creative videography tutorials.
We have had such fun making social media videos that we thought we should make one for ourselves + set the challenge of making tracks for these teeny vids.

Homegrown 2016

We were in Wellington for Homegrown 2016 to film The Black Seeds (fresh from their tour of Brazil) and Shapeshifter.  We worked with a NZVR360 rig and captured a VR360 view of both The Black Seeds and Shapeshifter performing.  Both bands had outstanding sets for the huge crowds, and we were very pleased to be there to capture it all.

Here's the Homegrown 2016 Instagram video we put together for Shapeshifter.

Wellies .. homegrown epic as always.

Sophi and Rebeka chatting about some of the ideas generated at the Youthline event.

We hopped aboard an exciting Life Hack + Sovereign Insurance social lab exploring volunteer recruitment and retention for Youthline.  The event bought together the dedicated team at Youthline, a group of varied experienced professionals from Sovereign Insurance, and social lab hosts, Life Hack.  Sovereign and Youthline have been partnered for four years, with Sovereign dedicated to supporting Youthline's programmes reaching South Auckland communities.

We filmed and interviewed participants during the two-day event and are putting together a video of interviews and the general hubbub, laughter and ideas that unfolded.  We were stoked to be working alongside Life Hack once again, and were able to catch up with our League of Live Illustrators comrades.  For this lab, The League were represented by illustrator extraordinaires Kelly Spencer and Rebeka Whale.   We also got to utilise our new Rode lapel mics - dang they're good.

Jon Lemmon - "When It Came Along"

THIS GUY.
We've been working with Jon Lemmon on his crowdsourced music video for his track "When It Came Along" - a catchy, uplifting new tune from this talented source of good-vibes.  Jon asked friends, fans and family to submit footage of themselves dancing, singing or vibeing with the track.  From 6 continents, and remote locations ranging from Machu Pichu to an ice sheet in Antartica, videos began to be uploaded.  Beautiful videos, full of quirk, happiness, extreme dancing, costumes, puppets, pumice and whimsy.  Fantastic.  It's been really lovely and easy to work with Jon, and we can't stop bopping our heads with a beaming smile on our faces each time we run through a draft of the final video.  We also went out and filmed with Jon on location around Auckland - with some charming results.

More soon!
