The Nudge

Catching Up

Hey friends!
We’ve been… well… silent… for a while, because of LIFE. Covid-19, welcoming our second little Peach into the world (welcome Finn!), moving houses, TWICE, and yet somehow our world keeps turning. We’ve been lucky enough to forge some great new working relationships, be a part of some fantastic live shows, filmed a handful of delicious music videos - and it’s about time we caught you up on what we’ve been privy to.
Kia kaha everyone.

Behind the Screen - The Nudge "DARK ARTS"

What a blast.  The Nudge sure know how to bring pace + vibe to a music video set.

We have been lucky enough to be able to test-drive the impressive new green screen at Massey University (WGTN) and we will be heading off to Great Barrier Island to film The Nudge in some scuba-åction glory later in the month.

This video has introduced a lot of new material, new experiences + new gear into the Peach fold - we've been filming with a legitimate + massive green screen for the first time, working with The Nudge on our first conceptual music video collaboration, and shooting with some ridiculously good new gear.  We've brought the Nikon D750, the Sigma Fisheye + Sigma Art Series 35mm 1.4 into the mix!  We're pretty excited about the visuals + abstract videography we'll be playing with.

Massive thanks to Massey, NZOnAir + these fantastic lads.

Music At MATUA - The Nudge, Estère + Fly My Pretties

Auckland boutique festival "Music At Matua" presented THE NUDGE, ESTÈRE + FLY MY PRETTIES, in one delicious line up.  The weather was scorching and the crowd delighted in the wine, the food selection on offer, and the superb summer sounds.  We were there to film The Nudge as they kicked off the festival with their uniquely entrancing multi-genre music, followed by the glorious 'electric blue witch-hop' beats from Estère.  We encountered people hearing her work for the first time who were instantly mesmerised. Finally, the much anticipated the big band lineup of Fly My Pretties, which included many friends - the Nudge boys Ryan Prebble, James Coyle + Iraia Whakamoe, Mara TK (Electric Wire Hustle), Barnaby Weir (The Black Seeds), Mike Fabulous (Lord Echo/TBS), Nigel Patterson (The Black Seeds) and Jarney Murphy (also The Black Seeds).  We were very pleased to briefly meet Age Pryor - we've been fans for some time. A really fun day - we certainly got our dancing shoes on.

Talented Babe Alert! Estère + her MPC Lola had a truly great set with some sweet moves.
